Just finished watching this period of Gate's Proof of Reserves (PoR), here are my most direct impressions:
The assets covered this time have nearly reached 500 types, which actually demonstrates one thing——it's not just about making "major coins look good," but rather incorporating the assets that users are actually using in practice. This is quite a plus point.
The key is looking at the BTC reserve ratio, which increased from 140% to 147%. Simply put: if you deposit 1 BTC with them, they have 1.47 BTC on their books. This figure itself is already quite solid, and they're continuing to push it higher this time, which at least shows they're actively creating "peace of mind" rather than passively responding.
That said, reserves are essentially about "proving you have the money," not "completely risk-free." But in the current environment, being able to continuously update PoR with data trending upward already puts them in the relatively stable category of platforms.
To sum it up in one sentence:
👉 doesn't necessarily mean absolute safety, but at least it's one of the few platforms that's seriously giving you "peace of mind" right now.
