Gate - P2P Transaction - Risk Warning and Disclaimer
1.P2P (peer to peer) transactions refer to transactions conducted directly between two end users. When buyers and sellers complete matching on the Gate platform (hereinafter referred to as the "Platform"), both parties must verify their identities through real-name authentication.
2.Anti-money laundering regulations that users must comply with. For specific regulations, please refer to: Gate - P2P Transactions - Anti-Money Laundering Guidelines.
3.You will bear the sole risk of using Gate P2P transaction services and all information, materials and other content contained in the services (including content provided by third parties) or related information, materials and content accessed through these services. Gate is only responsible for handling the transaction process of digital assets on the platform. Unless otherwise required by law, all payments are final upon completion. Gate has no right or obligation to resolve any disputes or claims arising after the payment is completed. Gate is also not responsible for any losses caused or induced by the completion of the payment.
4.Buyers/Sellers may contact you directly to verify your identity or obtain additional information to verify transactions and/or payment. This communication or exchange of information may occur outside of the Platform. Such communication between you and the buyer/seller is not controlled or managed by Gate. Gate will not be responsible for any losses caused or incurred as a result of such communication between you and the buyer/seller.
5.Third parties (such as identity verification service providers, escrow agents, payment service providers, custodians and/or banking partners, etc.) may participate in Gate P2P transaction service. You may be subject to the terms and conditions of those third parties. Gate is not responsible for any losses caused or induced by any third party.
6.You fully understand the risks associated with P2P transactions are very high, including but not limited to digital asset volatility, counterparty credit risk, and fiat transaction compliance risks.
7.You have the corresponding investment knowledge and experience, or you have consulted with a professional, and are capable of independently assuming the risks of P2P transactions, and agree to bear all risks arising therefrom.
8.The platform reserves the right to restrict, suspend or block your account or access rights without notice if the following circumstances occur: (1) We have reason to suspect that you have violated the rules; (2) To protect other users from harm or property loss; (3) Your behavior may affect other users' use of the service; (4) It is found that you have infringed upon the legitimate rights and interests of others or collected personal information of others during the communication process.
By accessing or using the Platform, you expressly agree and authorize the Platform to take all reasonable actions, including but not limited to canceling transactions, deactivating account functions, or suspending accounts, that the Platform deems necessary to ensure compliance with this Rule and all applicable Gate rules. Such actions are taken to protect the rights and interests of the Platform, its users and third parties.
9.Please note that Gate may not be able to provide a full-scale service in certain markets and jurisdictions. Gate may restrict or prohibit the use of all or a portion of the Services from Restricted Locations, including but not limited to the United States of America, Canada, United Kingdom, Iran, and Cuba. Gate may, in its sole and absolute discretion, elect to make the Services, or only part of the Services, available in certain jurisdictions only. For more information regarding the Restricted Locations, please read the User Agreement Section 2.3(d) Restricted Locations via https://www.gate.com/user-agreement We do not intend to solicit or conduct marketing towards customers in such restricted locations.
10.The user acknowledges and agrees to be bound by our User Agreement (available at https://www.gate.com/user-agreement) and Privacy Policy (available at https://www.gate.com/privacy-policy) and Risk Warning (available at https://www.gate.com/risk-disclosure) and other relevant policies and terms displayed on the official website. If users do not agree to these policies, they must stop using this service.
