#稳定币发展 Seeing these predictions for 2026, I have to be honest — the judgment that stablecoins will surpass Layer2 has struck a chord with my long-term observations.

Remember those years chasing hot trends, rushing after whatever was popular? Looking back now, the story of Layer2 has been told with great flair, but the actual value being created has been overlooked. Why can stablecoins make a comeback? Because the barriers to entry are much lower — this might sound like risk, but in fact, it’s exactly where the opportunity lies. The simpler something is, the easier it is to copy, and the more exposed it becomes to problems.

What truly alarms me is the statement: the industry will learn to deeply realize the total value locked (TVL) by converting it into transaction volume. What does this mean? All those high APYs and astronomical TVL figures that were once hyped up are now being debunked. We’ve seen too many "liquidity mining" scams go from boom to bust.

Where are the opportunities now? Not in projects still spinning stories. Non-USD stablecoins, Bitcoin Layer2 — these seemingly niche directions are actually supported by real demand. The key is not to be fooled by early false prosperity — look at who is actually using it, who has real cash flow, not just whose community is most active.

The essence of stablecoins is infrastructure. Infrastructure may not be sexy, but it lasts a long time. This time, we’ve learned to be smarter.
