🇺🇸 Tennessee bans cryptocurrency ATMs entirely

Tennessee has become the second U.S. state to fully ban cryptocurrency ATMs after signing a law that prevents these devices from being operated, installed, or hosted within the state.
Under the new law, operating or allowing Crypto ATMs to be present is a misdemeanor, with penalties of up to one year in prison and a fine, and the ban is set to take effect starting 1 July 2026. 
The main reason behind the decision is the rising concerns that these devices are being used in scams—especially targeting the elderly—due to the speed of transfers and the difficulty of tracking or retrieving them.
