Recently, I’ve been seeing a bunch of social mining/points tasks—clicking here and there, like stamping a card at the subway entrance. To be honest, even if you get the badges, you might not be able to exchange them for anything; what’s really concrete is that your time gets drained. I’m not even this diligent with the mempool, but I ended up turning myself into a check-in machine just for a “status.” A bit stupid, but I’ve done it too.
The whole collapse pattern of blockchain games is actually pretty similar: once inflation kicks in, studios move in, the coin price spirals downward, and in the end, you’re left with a whole patch of “task people.” So now I practice: when I see points, I first ask myself—am I practicing patience, or am I practicing getting hooked? If it’s easy to do, I do it; if not, forget it. If the bus doesn’t come, I walk.
