Lately, the more I look at on-chain data, the more uneasy I feel... To be honest, what you see as "on-chain" is actually filtered through several layers of translation, including nodes, RPC, and indexers. Sometimes it's not the market being slow, but your display being slow. Not long ago, I was watching the unlock calendar, and when someone in the group shouted "selling pressure is coming," I went to check the transfers. The same transaction would appear a few minutes apart on different browsers/interfaces. Emotions got the better of me first, but the data was still on its way.
I just turned off the default public RPC in my wallet and switched to a self-hosted node (at least I know where the delay is). I'm not afraid of losing money; I'm afraid of mistaking latency for risk. Anyway, in the future, when I see "on-chain anomalies," I’ll wait for two or three sources to cross-check first, or I might scare myself into insomnia.
