Just now, while checking on-chain data, I encountered that kind of "lag," and for a moment I thought I was seeing things. Later, I realized it's probably not the chain suddenly breaking, but the middle layer struggling: the indexer needs to scan blocks, Subgraph needs to rebuild indexes, and RPCs are rate-limited. When more people are querying at the same time, it's like a small, unpopular shop suddenly gets a tour group; the owner pretends to be dead for a couple of seconds before opening the door. The most annoying part is that it looks like the market has changed, but in reality, it's just data lagging behind. Recently, everyone has been interpreting ETF capital flows and US stock risk appetite together to analyze price movements. I also get tempted to compare, but honestly, first I need to confirm that the data isn't stuck; otherwise, the sentiment will lag behind, which is pretty awkward. Anyway, when I see "blank/skip blocks" now, I wait a moment like having a glass of water before complaining.
