Cobo AI Growth Director Brad Bao: AI Agents Have Started "Managing Money," with the Core Challenge Shifting to Trust and Certainty

CoinWorld News, on April 21, Cobo AI Growth Lead Brad Bao shared at the offline event themed “Decoding Web 4.0: When AI Agents Take Over On-Chain Permissions” that AI agents participating in fund calls and asset management have moved from concept to reality, and “whether agents will manage money” is no longer an issue. As more and more agents directly connect to wallets to execute transactions, the industry has seen risk cases such as funds not arriving as expected. In response, the team continuously records issues and risks of agents in real transactions through an experimental system, promoting the improvement of related mechanisms. Brad Bao pointed out that the current core contradiction in the industry is: if agents lack autonomy, their value will be no different from traditional automated trading tools; but if they lack verifiable certainty, humans cannot feel at ease entrusting fund management rights to agents. This tension between “autonomy vs. certainty” is becoming a key bottleneck for AI agents to advance toward on-chain financial infrastructure.
