Lately, I've seen a bunch of people watching large on-chain transfers and hot and cold wallets on exchanges, shouting "Smart money is coming" whenever there's movement... I also glance over now and then, but honestly, what I worry about more is having a bunch of contracts in my wallet with unlimited permissions still attached, like leaving a door key inserted and not pulling it out, which makes me uneasy.
Now I'm used to: after completing a trade and being sure I won't need it in the short term, I revoke the permissions, just like locking the door before bed. It’s a hassle, but it greatly reduces the chance of waking up in the middle of the night. My mom asked me a couple of days ago, "Aren't you just buying and selling? Why do you need to authorize again?" I told her: it’s like giving someone your bank card to swipe, and not setting a limit makes it pretty awkward...
Anyway, I’d rather miss out on some "smart money" rhythm than wake up one day to find I’ve become someone else’s liquidity. If I make a profit, I go have coffee; if I lose, I’d rather not lose in such a basic way. That’s all for now.
