(MENAFN- IANS) Mumbai, March 10 (IANS) Actor Varun Dhawan’s film “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai” has been postponed again and will now be released on June 12 to avoid a box office clash with the highly anticipated action thriller “Toxic” starring Yash, which is scheduled for release on June 4.

The film was originally set to release on April 10, 2026. However, in October 2025, it was announced that the release date would be moved to June 5, 2026.

On Tuesday, the production company Tips Films shared a note on Instagram: “We would like to clarify that our film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai was originally scheduled for release on June 5, a date we announced several months ago.”

The note also mentioned that the filmmakers believe it is better for the industry when creators support each other.

"However, due to recent developments and the current situation, we felt it would be more appropriate to change our release date. We strongly believe that it is healthier for the industry when filmmakers support one another rather than competing unnecessarily on the same date.

“In the spirit of solidarity, we have decided to move the release of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai to June 12 and bring our film to audiences a week later.”

The note was captioned: “Get ready for love, madness & full-on entertainment! Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai in cinemas on June 12!”

Described as a lighthearted story with romantic elements, “Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai” also stars Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde. Directed by David Dhawan, it reportedly tells the story of a man rejected by several women who ultimately receives help from God.

Regarding David Dhawan, he has directed 45 films including Aankhen, Biwi No.1, Judwaa, Coolie No.1, Hero No.1, Deewana Mastana, Shola Aur Shabnam, Raja Babu, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, Haseena Maan Jaayegi, Dulhan Hum Le Jayenge, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya?, Partner, Chashme Baddoor, and Main Tera Hero.

On March 4, the makers of the action-drama “Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups,” starring Yash, announced that its release was postponed to June 4 due to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

It is worth noting that the film was originally scheduled for a worldwide premiere on March 19 this year.

“Toxic” also features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Rukmini Vasanth, and Tara Sutaria in key roles.

Written by Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film was shot simultaneously in Kannada and English, with dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam—highlighting its global ambitions.
