Seagate Technology executive stated that the Middle East conflict is unlikely to cause significant disruptions to the technology supply chain in the short term, despite concerns that the war could potentially cut off supplies of critical materials such as helium.

Some investors worry that the prolonged war may worsen the already tight supply of memory chips and storage devices. Seagate and its competitor Western Digital together supply most of the hard drives used for long-term storage in data centers and personal computers.

Seagate’s Chief Commercial Officer Ban Seng Teh said on Thursday that the company’s supply chain currently has enough resilience to buffer any short-term impacts. The company is exploring several other options to strengthen its supply.
