LOS ANGELES, February 12, 2026–(BUSINESS WIRE)–This spring, the City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks invites families across Los Angeles to get moving with the PlayLA Youth & Adaptive Youth Sports Program. Registration is now open for spring leagues, classes and clinics, offering affordable and inclusive access to sports and recreation opportunities at recreation centers, aquatic facilities and partner sites across the city. Programs are open to youth ages 3–17. Parents and caregivers can register now at LAParks.org or through the LA Parks mobile app.
Powered by the historic $160 million investment from the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organizing Committee and the International Olympic Committee (IOC), PlayLA continues its mission to deliver high-quality, low-cost programming for youth of all abilities, with most programs offered starting at $10 per season and scholarships available for qualifying families.
Spring programming runs from April through June 2026, and is open to youth ages 3–17. Families can view available youth and adaptive sports offerings at LAParks.org or through the LA Parks mobile app.
Recreation Leagues:
Registration for spring recreation leagues is open now through March 21, with the first games beginning April 4. Classic spring favorites, baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball provide fun, structured competition for players of all experience levels.
Aquatics Programs:
PlayLA aquatics leagues registration runs February 28 through March 28, with multiple class sessions offered throughout the spring. Participants will have the opportunity to grow skills and build teamwork in the water:
Classes & Clinics:
Registration for spring classes and clinics runs March 9 through April 5, with eight-week sessions beginning the week of April 6. This spring, participants are invited to try something new, build new skills and have fun exploring a wide range of activities from dance, skateboarding, track & field, boxing, martial arts and more.
Adaptive Youth Sports:
Registration for PlayLA Adaptive Clinics opens March 9, providing inclusive opportunities for youth of all abilities. These clinics are designed to create safe, supportive and engaging environments where youth with disabilities can participate, compete and thrive:
“Spring is a time for growth, and PlayLA is proud to offer programs that help young Angelenos stay active, build confidence and connect with their communities,” said Veronica Polanco, Chief Innovation Officer at the Department of Recreation and Parks. “Through PlayLA, we are making sure every child, regardless of ability or background, has access to safe, affordable and high-quality sports opportunities across our city.”
As Los Angeles prepares to host the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games, PlayLA remains a living legacy, bringing the Olympic spirit into neighborhoods across the city through year-round opportunities that reflect the diversity, energy and potential of all young Angelenos.
