Moles and Auspiciousness:

Shape and Color of Good and Bad Signs
Auspicious Moles: The best are "black as ink and red as cinnabar." Black moles should be shiny and smooth, symbolizing abundant Qi and blood, and accumulated good fortune; red moles should be as bright as cinnabar, known as "Cinnabar Moles," and ancient people believed this to be a sign of "noble Qi," indicating intelligence and nobility.
Inauspicious Moles: Colors that are dull and lack luster, grayish-brown and murky, or with blurred edges and rough surfaces, are seen as "accumulation of turbid Qi," symbolizing Qi and blood stagnation, often associated with hard work and setbacks.
