Net profit last year increased by 9.5% year-on-year to HKD 10.83 billion. Cathay Pacific stated that recognizing the team’s outstanding performance is a core part of the company culture. In addition to the salary adjustments implemented in early 2026, the company will also distribute approximately 11 weeks of eligible compensation through discretionary bonuses and profit sharing for 2025.

Cathay Pacific CEO Augustus Tang recently sent an email to employees, indicating that from 2026, the company’s various departments have shown strong momentum. He also announced that under the Profit Sharing Scheme (PSS), the profit sharing payout for 2025 will be higher than the equivalent of 6.2 weeks’ salary paid in 2024.

According to an internal email obtained by our website, starting January 1, eligible Cathay Pacific Hong Kong employees received an average salary increase of 3.5%, compared to an average increase of 3.8% in 2025, a difference of 0.3 percentage points.
