Techub News reports that a French couple in their 50s was robbed at their home in Le Chesnay-Rocquencourt, western Paris, by three suspects posing as police officers. They were forced to transfer approximately 900,000 euros (about $1 million) worth of Bitcoin. The incident occurred on Monday morning, with the suspects threatening the couple with knives and forcing the husband to complete the Bitcoin transfer. They then tied up the man and injured both individuals before fleeing in a white van; the wife subsequently rescued her husband and called the police around 9 a.m. local time. The case is under investigation by the French Violence Crime Squad, with charges including illegal detention, organized gang armed robbery, and conspiracy to commit a crime.
