Smart equipment takes center stage, accelerating the advancement of agricultural intelligence and digital transformation

On March 9th, the second session of the 14th National People’s Congress’s “Minister’s Channel” was held at the Great Hall of the People, where Minister Han Jun of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was interviewed by reporters. Han Jun introduced that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China’s agricultural technological equipment conditions have significantly improved, and agricultural modernization has reached a new level. The contribution rate of agricultural science and technology progress has exceeded 64%, the coverage rate of good seed varieties is over 96%, and the comprehensive mechanization rate of crop planting and harvesting has reached 76.7%. Major grain crops have been fully mechanized. The digital and intelligent transformation of agriculture is also accelerating, with various smart equipment playing a significant role in agricultural production. Last year, the number of drones used in agriculture exceeded 300,000, the highest in the world, serving an area of 460 million mu of arable land.
