Amazon Launches Health-Focused AI Agent on Its Website and App
Tech titan Amazon AMZN +0.16% ▲ has launched a new health-focused AI agent on its website and mobile app. This will give U.S. Prime members access to free message-based medical consultations for more than 30 common conditions as part of a limited introductory offer. According to the company, the tool is designed to provide quick guidance and support for everyday medical concerns without requiring an immediate visit to a doctor’s office.

The AI system is also built to deliver personalized health insights by analyzing lab results and other medical records that patients choose to share through the Health Information Exchange. With patient consent, the assistant can review that information and offer tailored recommendations or explanations. In addition, the tool can help manage practical tasks such as renewing prescriptions and scheduling appointments, which Amazon says could allow patients to spend less time dealing with administrative steps and more time focusing on recovery.
Meanwhile, Amazon explained that the feature will expand gradually over the coming weeks, with the goal of eventually making it available to all U.S. customers. This wider launch comes less than two months after the company first introduced the AI assistant inside the One Medical app, where it was initially limited to members of Amazon’s healthcare provider, One Medical.
Is Amazon a Buy, Sell, or Hold?
