Supreme People's Procuratorate Report: Our country's social security situation continues to improve, making it one of the safest countries in the world

The Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress held its second plenary meeting on the morning of the 9th at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Procurator-General Ying Yong delivered the report on the work of the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. The report shows that in 2025, procuratorial organs across the country handled a total of 3.467 million cases, including 8,151 cases handled by the Supreme People’s Procuratorate. Throughout the year, 664,000 suspects of various crimes were approved for arrest, and 1.404 million were prosecuted, representing year-on-year decreases of 11.7% and 13.9%, respectively. China’s social security situation continues to improve, making it one of the safest countries in the world. (CCTV News)
