Odaily Planet Daily reports that three informed sources revealed the Trump administration has asked Israel to stop further airstrikes on Iran’s energy facilities, especially oil infrastructure. It is said to be the first clear restraint on Israeli military actions since the start of joint US-Israel operations against Iran. The reasons for this request include the potential to drive up global oil prices and provoke large-scale Iranian retaliation against energy infrastructure in the Gulf region. The sources said the Trump administration considers targeting Iran’s oil facilities a “last resort,” only to be used if Iran first attacks Gulf countries’ energy infrastructure. (Jin10)
