France's exports to the US declined significantly in the fourth quarter last year

Data released by French customs show that, influenced by U.S. tariff policies and exchange rate factors, France’s exports to the U.S. significantly declined in the fourth quarter of 2025. The data indicate that in the fourth quarter of last year, excluding the aviation industry, France’s exports to the U.S. decreased by 13% year-on-year. Specifically, spirits exports dropped by 47%, wine by 39%, perfumes and cosmetics by 25%, and leather goods by 15%. Customs officials pointed out that the decline in France’s exports to the U.S. reflects ongoing pressure on French exports under the impact of U.S. tariff measures. (CCTV News)
