Apple introduces the lowest-priced MacBook in history
On March 4th, Apple announced the new MacBook Neo on its official website. This product aims to break the price barrier of MacBooks and directly compete with entry-level Windows laptops. Its starting price is 4,599 yuan — the cheapest MacBook in years.
The device is powered by the A18Pro chip originally designed for the iPhone 16 Pro. Although based on mobile architecture, its performance is sufficient for smooth web browsing, document editing, and entry-level AI workloads. It features a 13-inch Liquid Retina display (500 nits brightness) and does not have a “notch” design. The chassis is made from 100% recycled aluminum and is available in four colors: Silver, Indigo Blue, Peach Pink, and Citrus Yellow. Pre-orders begin at 9 a.m. on March 6, with the product launching on March 11. (Jiemian News)
