On March 6th, the concept of power grid equipment repeatedly strengthened, with Shun Na Shares (000533.SZ) hitting three consecutive limit-ups, Samsung Medical (601567.SH) opening with a limit-up, and Xinling Electric (301388.SZ), Xint Electric (301120.SZ), China Western Electric (601179.SH), and Haixing Electric Power (603556.SH) following the rise.

In terms of news, the three major regional grid operators in the United States have each been approved for a total of $75 billion in transmission expansion projects, building a batch of 765 kV ultra-high voltage lines. The transmission capacity can reach six times that of traditional lines, with total mileage expanding to 10,000 miles, equivalent to four times the current mileage. Additionally, Samsung Medical announced that its subsidiary Samsung Sweden signed a framework contract worth €117 million with the Dutch Enexis electricity bureau for transformers.

Guojin Securities pointed out that as the proportion of new energy installed capacity continues to increase, and with the explosion of new high-energy-consuming loads such as AIDC, the upgrade of power grid infrastructure faces urgent demand. During the 14th Five-Year Plan, China’s southern power grid has planned investments exceeding 5 trillion yuan in total. The release of these “Ten Measures” provides a clear path for power grid investment during the 14th Five-Year Plan.
