How to inspect a new house? Which points should be checked?
Buying a house is a major expense. If you don’t inspect it carefully during purchase, it can lead to irreversible losses. Many beginners don’t know how to inspect a house properly. Today, I’ll teach you what experienced inspectors look for.
First, the electrical system
Check the wiring layout and routing carefully. If you don’t do this at the beginning, making changes later during renovation can be very troublesome and costly.
Next, plumbing and waterproofing
Water leaks are very troublesome. During inspection, always test the water system. Experienced inspectors often carry a small bucket to pour water in suspicious areas to ensure everything is watertight.
Also, check the walls
Wall inspection is very important. Not only should you look for cracks, but also check for flatness and verticality. It’s hard to see these in daylight. Usually, use a flashlight at night to examine the walls; any unevenness will be clearly visible.
Finally, the quality of doors and windows
Inspect the quality, sealing, and the flexibility of hardware. These may seem like minor issues, but they greatly affect daily life.
Which part do you care about most when inspecting a house? Feel free to share in the comments!
