Shares rise by 0.5%, reaching a high of HKD 34.14. Xiaomi announces the release of its own lobster AI, “Xiaomi miclaw.” Xiaomi states that Xiaomi miclaw is a small step in exploring Agent technology. It is an AI interaction testing product built on Xiaomi’s MiMo large model. Today, it begins limited closed testing.

Xiaomi says that Xiaomi miclaw focuses on verifying the execution capability of the large model within Xiaomi’s “Full Ecosystem of People, Vehicles, and Homes,” exploring the pathway from “dialogue ability” to “system-level execution capability.” Its abilities come from four levels: system core capabilities, personal context understanding, ecological interconnection, and self-evolution.

It can turn smartphones into AI tools, understanding user intent and granting permissions to call applications and ecosystem capabilities, as well as autonomously selecting system-level tools to complete commands. “It can recognize you, remember you, and even interpret vague tasks to help you complete operations.” It can also grow continuously, adjusting its behavior and expanding its capabilities, ultimately storing experience through its memory system to better understand you over time.

Xiaomi states that, as an advanced exploratory product, it is still being optimized for stability, power consumption, and success rate in complex scenarios. Some high-complexity tasks may experience fluctuations in efficiency or temporary failures. This closed beta test is invitation-only and not open to the public. It is again advised not to upgrade on primary daily devices. Tech enthusiasts and heavy AI users should back up their data beforehand and test in controlled environments.
