The Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference will open at 3:00 PM on March 4th at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

At the opening, the participating members of the CPPCC will review and approve the agenda for the Fourth Session of the 14th National Committee, listen to the work report of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the CPPCC, and review the work report on proposals since the Third Session of the 14th National Committee.

China Central Radio and Television will broadcast live on TV the work report of Wang Huning, a Standing Committee member of the CPPCC, during the opening meeting; Xinhua News Agency will provide online text and image coverage of the opening.

On the morning of the 4th, the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress will hold a preparatory meeting to elect the presidium and secretary-general, and to vote on the draft agenda. After the preparatory meeting, the presidium will hold its first meeting. At 12:00 PM, the Fourth Session of the 14th National People’s Congress will hold a press conference, where the spokesperson will answer questions from Chinese and foreign journalists about the agenda and related work of the NPC.
