🏦🇺🇸 Fed/Neel Kashkari says it is still too early to assess how war with Iran could affect inflation in the US.

⏺Kashkari noted that it is necessary to "assess the magnitude and duration of the impact caused by the war with Iran" before making any adjustments to interest rate policy.

📈Before the conflict, he estimated that inflation would be between 2.5% and 3% and expected an interest rate cut this year, but now he is unsure of the amount of reductions.

⏺The executive reiterated that inflation "remains very high, but seems to be moving in the right direction" and that the high reading deserves attention, given the recent trajectory.

"We certainly need to reach our 2% inflation target."
