Last week I gave Gate TradFi a test run during the spike in gold prices. 🟡📈
With CPI numbers dropping and volatility creeping into crypto, gold started pushing higher. Instead of switching platforms (or dealing with separate brokerage accounts), I hedged my crypto exposure directly by opening a long position on gold (XAU) through TradFi.
What stood out to me:
✔ Execution speed was smooth even during the news-driven volatility
✔ Single account for crypto + metals felt surprisingly convenient
✔ The charting tools were enough for scalps & short swings
✔ I closed the trade with a modest profit when gold tapped resistance
I also tested a quick short scalp on NASDAQ (NAS) after the New York open. Tech stocks dipped, indices reacted, and the trade worked within minutes. Nothing crazy—just wanted to see the flexibility.
Not saying it’s a replacement for full-time FX or equity platforms yet, but for reactive trades, hedging, and diversification, it really bridged TradFi + crypto well.
