why do most creators struggle to gain traction on social platforms?

the usual suspects:

• overthinking every post kills momentum—perfectionism is your worst enemy
• ignoring engagement while chasing followers defeats the purpose
• going silent for stretches? your audience forgets you exist
• pulling the plug after a few months when results don't materialize instantly

then comes the convenient excuse: blaming the algorithm.

truth is, the algorithm wasn't the problem. execution and consistency were.

That's really hardcore, but I think there's an even more heartbreaking truth — most people can't even stick with it for three months and start to doubt themselves.

People who are obsessed with details end up not being able to publish anything at all. Truly.

Exactly right, it's just poor execution, always blaming the algorithm.

In plain terms, it's a misalignment in mechanism design. Creators treat scarce attention as an unlimited resource to compete for, and this game has been unbalanced from the start. That perfectionism mindset? Historically, DAO governance has delayed proposals due to excessive perfectionism, ultimately leading to a collapse in community consensus. Consistency is the underlying logic of incentive compatibility; otherwise, it's all internal conflict.
