Wu said that MANTRA founder John Patrick Mullin announced that due to adverse events since 2025, prolonged market downturn, increased competition, and unsustainable cost structure, the company has decided to undergo a strategic restructuring and reduce team size. The affected positions are mainly concentrated in business development, marketing, HR, and support functions. In April 2025, the price of the MANTRA (OM) token plummeted from about $6.2–6.3 to the $0.4–0.5 range within a few hours, a decline of over 90%, with a market cap evaporating approximately $5–6 billion.
