A major exchange wallet (web version) has just launched a new feature—perpetual contract trading supported by Aster technology. I tried it out yesterday and opened an Arb contract on-chain.
To be honest, I still find trading on the exchange more convenient. I opened one order on each side for comparison; the exchange side has already started losing money, but the on-chain contract has not shown significant fluctuations so far. The response speed indeed differs. However, the emergence of this new feature has definitely provided a new option for on-chain trading, especially for users who want to experience on-chain self-custody.
