A Simple DOGEUSDT Short Based on Price Action
My Thought Process Behind This DOGEUSDT Short Trade
DOGEUSDT Perpetual Futures Short Trade Breakdown & Reflection
Pair: DOGEUSDT Perpetual
Timeframe: 1H
Leverage: 10x (Isolated Margin)
I want to share my recent DOGEUSDT short trade and my personal thinking behind it why I entered this trade, how I managed it, and what I learned from the overall setup.
What I Was Seeing on the Chart
On the 1-hour timeframe, DOGEUSDT had already made a strong upward move and was approaching a clear resistance area around 0.1329 – 0.1330.
Although price was above the short-term moving averages, the buying momentum started to slow down near this zone.
Things that stood out to me:
Price struggling to break above resistance
Clear rejection near the local high
Buyers showing weakness after the push up
Based on this behavior, I was expecting a short-term pullback or correction, not an immediate continuation to the upside.
How I Executed the Trade
After seeing rejection near resistance, I decided to enter a short position.
Entry Price: 0.13212
Position Size: 4,090 DOGE
Margin Mode: Isolated
Leverage: 10x
I intentionally used isolated margin to keep my risk controlled. This trade was more about discipline and execution, not about taking excessive risk.
Trade Outcome
After the entry, price moved in my favor and started pulling back as expected.
Mark Price: ~0.13125
Unrealized PnL: +3.55 USDT
ROI: +6.50%
This trade showed again that you don’t always need a huge move small, clean moves with proper risk management can still give consistent results.
What This Trade Taught Me
Some key reminders from this trade:
Waiting for price to come to resistance improves trade quality
Patience helps avoid emotional entries
Isolated margin keeps risk and emotions under control
Focus on structure and confirmation, not hype
Instead of chasing price, I waited for my level and that made a big difference.
Final Thoughts
This was a simple and structured short trade, based purely on price action and market behavior.
I’m trying to stay focused on process, discipline, and consistency, and this trade fits well within that mindset.
This is only my personal trading experience and not financial or investment advice.
