Trash knockoff projects going to zero is a good thing; the market needs this kind of cleansing. Valuable projects will stand out in this reshuffle, while those relying on hype have long since been cooled off.
The current issue is: everyone is waiting for a new narrative to emerge. The old tricks of DeFi, NFT, and GameFi are all played out.
Overturning and starting anew is also fine. The true alpha in Zhen is always in the hands of a few, while most knockoffs were born just to harvest profits from the beginning.
Old-school GameFi projects like YGG, do they just switch to a new direction when they say they are transforming? Basically, they are just repackaging and continuing as before.
Web3 issuance sounds very high-end, but in reality, it’s just about finding new stories to tell.
The market is now immune to these transformation stories; unless a truly revolutionary product emerges, it’s just old wine in a new bottle.
YGG’s evolution seems more like a display of survival instinct rather than a strategic upgrade.
