What should I do if my car is blocked and I can't contact the owner?
A few days ago, I went to the hospital to take care of some business. I was already in a hurry, and when I finished and went to the underground parking lot, I found my car blocked by a Benz with an out-of-province license plate. I tried to move left and right, but couldn’t get out. The most frustrating thing was that there wasn’t even a number to call to move the car on the window, and it was just left parked in the aisle.
I searched various methods on Baidu. First, I opened the 12123 APP, filled in the license plate, took a photo, and submitted a request to move the car. After waiting for 20 minutes with no response, I approached the parking lot administrator, who said, "This out-of-town car has no registration information, and I can't help it." I contacted the insurance company for emergency assistance, but they said it was too narrow to do anything. I even called my uncle; I tried all sorts of methods, but none of them worked.
After a round of fussing, over an hour has passed, and I suddenly thought: This car is a Mercedes, it can't be without maintenance, right? I immediately took out my phone to search for the local Mercedes 4S shop and called directly: "Hello, I'm in the hospital parking lot and accidentally scratched a customer's car from your dealership, the license plate is XXX, and the owner didn't leave a phone number, can you help me contact them?" The customer service was quite proactive, after checking for a while, they said: Sorry, there are no maintenance records for this license plate at our shop, and then informed me that the owner has been maintaining the car at a Mercedes 4S shop in Jiangsu for years. Then I called the Jiangsu shop, and not even 10 minutes after hanging up, I saw a guy running over. I started venting to him, and he came over with a 1916. Considering his attitude was okay, I didn't fuss too much (mainly because there were cameras; otherwise, I would have lost my temper long ago).
Lastly, I would like to remind everyone that when going out, please park in accordance with regulations and do not cause trouble for others.
