I recently noticed that more and more people are discussing the speed of different blockchains. Turns out, this is really critical for mass adoption. Solana leads with 1054 TPS — simply impressive. Followed by Sui with 854 TPS. That’s a completely different level of performance compared to the others.

Looking at the entire ranking, the fastest blockchain is clearly Solana, but there are other interesting players. BSC maintains 378 TPS, Polygon 190, TON 175. Even Tron performs well at 160 TPS. Near, Avalanche, Cronos, and Gnosis round out the list, but that doesn’t mean they are slow — they just have a different focus.

By the way, I saw news about AltLayer. They launched the second phase of their staking program with a new token, reALT. This is an ERC-20 token with automatic compounding for those staking ALT. Interestingly, they completely revamped the pools — replacing the old Xterio LaunchPool with a new one based on reALT.

What’s important: now you can withdraw funds directly from the main pool, although the 21-day period will be restored afterward. For those already in the program — you can migrate right now. AltLayer positions itself as a protocol for creating Rollups from ready-made stacks like OP Stack or Arbitrum. It looks like an interesting tool for developers who want to launch their own blockchain from scratch.
