Disentangling FUD emotions, an objective review of Dflow: a thorough narrative shift and retail investor expectation mismatch

Recently, the community has been vocally criticizing Dflow, mostly accusing it of "anti-raid." As a long-time player immersed in the Solana ecosystem, I’ve been following it closely. Today, setting aside the FUD in the chat groups, I will objectively analyze from the perspective of business logic and fundamentals.
Where does the resentment come from? A failed expectation management.
In the early days, Dflow’s main selling point was "low-latency DEX aggregator," attracting a large TVL through activities earning points (XP) via deposits. At that time, most people were locking in real funds with the expectation of becoming the "next JUP" big shot. But the campaign dragged on too long, and in the end, the official core narrative shifted completely toward "prediction markets and RWA." Retail investors suddenly realized their funds were being indirectly occupied, their expected realization cycles were infinitely extended or even fell through, and a backlash was inevitable.
Fundamentals beyond emotions: the cold logic of institutional trading
Criticize all you want, but if you say Dflow has no value at all, that’s purely an emotional judgment. Its later strategic shift was actually quite savvy commercially:
1⃣ Break out of the internal competition, bet on real revenue: By integrating Kalshi’s API, bringing large off-chain liquidity into Solana for tokenized prediction events. This transforms the intangible on-chain TVL into a real, revenue-generating RWA landing track.
2⃣ Reflection of capital will: Backed by giants like Coinbase Ventures, Multicoin, and Circle. These heavyweights currently prioritize sustainable infrastructure that can continuously generate fees, rather than catering to yield farmers with tokens that might be dumped under pressure.
Final words
Dflow’s current roadmap is very clear: focus on compliance and real business, while downplaying retail and community. It has a solid moat in Solana’s infrastructure ecosystem in the second half, but its early operations were indeed unprofessional, severely eroding the native community’s trust. Hopefully, the project team will treat veteran users a bit better.
