Listen to me, I recently discovered a new type of rug pull scheme that everyone must be cautious of ⚠️. This isn't the traditional meme coin scam, but a carefully disguised legitimate project.
Here's how the scheme works: the project conducts a presale before listing, which seems perfectly normal, but there's a hidden trick. Community members buy tokens expecting to profit when it gets listed on exchanges, but what happens? The distribution isn't actually completed, or they have to wait until after listing to claim it, while the founders and team have already dumped all their tokens at high prices. By the time you realize what's happening, the token has already plummeted to rock-bottom prices, and the community gets completely wiped out.
The most terrifying part is that this rug pull can even happen on well-known exchanges. Recently, $HANA and $GOATED are classic examples; even with major CEX listings or futures trading, they still manage to pull off these tricks. So don’t think that being listed on big exchanges automatically makes it safe—you still need to be cautious.
If anyone has seen other similar rug pull schemes or scam cases, feel free to share in the comments. Let’s work together to help the community identify these traps and protect our funds.
