Block Expands Bitcoin Push With Bitkey, Cash App Rewards, and Square Tap-to-Pay
Block rolled out new bitcoin products across Bitkey, Cash App, and Square, including a 5% Bitcoin Back program on eligible Square merchant purchases. Cash App also raised bitcoin withdrawal limits to $10,000 per day and $25,000 per week. Block said its new Proof of Reserves system lets the public verify bitcoin balances for its corporate treasury and customer holdings across Cash App and Square. The company also plans to show NFC tap-to-pay bitcoin transactions on Square at Bitcoin Las Vegas 2026 and will charge zero processing fees through 2026.
