According to a September 27 post, Marathon Digital said it was using a small percentage of the firm’s hashrate for these experiments. Along with this, Marathon Digital has also said that they are not trying to change any network. Marathon Digital stressed that it attempted to correct the error as soon as it became aware of the invalid block.
