The Russian company Zservers is jointly sanctioned by multiple countries for supporting ransom activities.
According to Chainalysis, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), and the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) jointly sanctioned Russia’s Zservers company on February 11, 2025. The ‘bulletproof hosting’ services provided by Zservers have been used by cybercriminals to support the activities of the LockBit Ransomware group. OFAC has designated Zservers and its associated three CryptocurrencyAddresses as Specially Designated Nationals (SDNs). FCDO and DFAT have also sanctioned four employees of Zservers and its former company XHOST Internet Solutions LP in the UK.
