TON has integrated with the LayerZero OmniChain protocol
The Open Network platform, also known as TON, has integrated with the LayerZero interoperability protocol to implement cross-chain transactions between Ethereum, Tron, Solana, and 100 other blockchains in the future. This was reported by The Block.
The partnership aims to solve the problem of 'limited liquidity' by providing seamless access to other major cryptocurrency projects.
"TON is now able to provide stable liquidity and increase the accessibility of its ecosystem, creating conditions for mass adoption," the press release said. Key partners using the LayerZero infrastructure on the TON blockchain include Tether, Ethena, and the Stargate cross-chain bridge.
"Integration represents an important step forward for TON in the process of unifying ecosystems and increasing interoperability in the broader cryptocurrency space," said TON Foundation's Chief Operating Officer, Max Pertsovsky. According to him, developers now have "all the necessary tools to create decentralized applications targeting a truly global audience." CoinDesk reports that initially TON will connect 12 popular blockchains. Market participants will be able to transfer stablecoins between ecosystems through Stargate.
At the time of writing, Toncoin is trading around $3.79, ranking 018th on CoinGecko with a market cap of $9.45 billion(
