Mr. Trump thanked Congress for unanimously passing a resolution to provide more funding to the Secret Service, saying it was a bipartisan spirit. It is reported that the Trump campaign said on the same day that Trump had been briefed by United States intelligence officials on the Iran assassination threat. On September 24, the United States Senate unanimously passed the Enhanced Presidential Security Act, which aims to strengthen the Secret Service's security of key presidential candidates.
