McCann believes that the probability of a 25 or 50 basis point rate cut is evenly split. The CME Fed Watch tool indicates a 65% probability of a 50 basis point rate cut and a 35% probability of a 25 basis point rate cut. McCann pointed out that if the Fed only cuts rates by 25 basis points, the stock market could suffer a severe blow, and the cryptocurrency market might fall accordingly. However, a 50 basis point rate cut could be beneficial for risk assets such as cryptocurrency.
