According to Cointelegraph, the future of artificial intelligence (AI), as suggested by Dario Amodei, CEO of AI company Anthropic, may lean towards corporate integration rather than a robot uprising. Amodei recently discussed various aspects of AI in an interview with Noah Smith and Erik Torenberg on the Econ 102 podcast, including military applications and the potential of AI to replace human workers with more efficient machines.

One of the most interesting points raised by Amodei was the company's internal efforts to develop an effective hierarchical structure for task completion using AI models. While most people are familiar with AI through chatbots and image generators like OpenAI's ChatGPT and Anthropic's Claude, the development of these systems has cost billions of dollars and their full capabilities are often not fully utilized in daily applications. For example, using Claude to generate Python code for a Web3 application does not require the ability to create French poetry.

Amodei said the company envisions AI swarms that can network to complete specific tasks. This concept involves larger models creating numerous smaller, faster, and more efficient models to perform tasks, which he likened to worker bees supporting their queens, reflecting a typical corporate infrastructure.

At the top of this hierarchy is the core Claude model, the most powerful system of Anthropic. Below it are several core models trained in broad areas such as mathematics, programming, and emotion analysis. These are followed by specialized models dedicated to specific tasks and, finally, entry-level, one-time use models designed for short-term use. This design can enable end-users at every level to access specific capabilities they need through a single, simple user interface.
