Over 20 years ago, my futures teacher's first lesson was about how his fellow classmate went bankrupt from trading futures. He also mentioned his position sizing strategy, which never exceeded 5% of the total portfolio for each order. If he made a mistake, he would double down to make up for it. This way, he had nearly 6 chances to make accurate judgments.
