Recently, a statement by Vitalik caught my attention, and in fact, it is quite important for understanding Ethereum's design philosophy. In the crypto world, speed is always discussed; everyone is searching for the fastest blockchain. However, what Vitalik Buterin pointed out offers a completely different perspective.

Vitalik clearly stated that Ethereum was not built to compete with high-frequency trading platforms or other fast blockchains. When I first heard this, it made a lot of sense. Because Ethereum's true strength lies elsewhere.

The main point emphasized by Buterin is this: Ethereum's primary goal is to be a decentralized network that users can truly trust. In other words, security and decentralization, not speed. This explains why Ethereum's infrastructure is designed this way. Vitalik and his team have prioritized robustness over speed.

This perspective actually reveals a paradigm difference in the crypto market. Even though everyone wants faster and cheaper transactions, Vitalik's message is clear: Ethereum's value lies in being a secure and decentralized system. Committing to uphold these core principles is what sets Ethereum apart from other blockchains.

If you understand this, you'll better grasp why Ethereum remains so strong. Vitalik's statement shows what the project's long-term vision is, and to me, it sounds very convincing.
