So I've been looking into ways for my younger cousins to make some pocket money online, and honestly there are way more legit paid survey options than I expected. Apparently you can actually get paid for surveys as a teen—not just the fake stuff that floods your email.
The ones that seem most solid are Branded Surveys (16+), Swagbucks (13+), and MyPoints (13+ with parental consent). They've all been around for years and have actual payout history. Like Swagbucks alone has handed out over 600 million in rewards. You get paid for surveys but also other stuff like watching videos or playing games, which honestly sounds less boring than just clicking through questionnaires all day.
Cash-out is pretty reasonable too—most have minimums between $3-$5, and you can get paid through PayPal or gift cards. Some surveys take like 5 minutes, others closer to 30. The money varies wildly though, anywhere from 50 cents to $20 depending on how specific the questions are.
Obviously you're not getting rich here. It's more like actual spending money for a few hours of effort per week. But if you're young and need cash without a traditional job, getting paid for surveys beats nothing. Just make sure whatever site you pick has been around a while and has real reviews. The sketchy ones will ask for credit card info or promise unrealistic income—instant red flag.
Anyone else's kids doing this? Curious if the payouts are consistent.
