Brothers playing U, you definitely need to have some psychological preparation.
If you really get "called in for a chat" one day, don't panic. Basically there are just three points you can't get around. Think them through in advance and you'll feel more stable mentally.
First hurdle: They'll usually open with an intimidating line: "Virtual currency isn't protected by law, you understand?" Don't get scared by this. Unprotected by law ≠ you broke the law. It's simple: you trade voluntarily, the state doesn't intervene; but if something happens, like getting scammed or ripped off, the police won't help you recover it. So you just need to say truthfully: I understand the risks and I'll take responsibility. Just maintain a straightforward attitude.
Second hurdle: The core issue—why you need to give the money back. Once funds in your card are identified as fraud-related, refunding isn't negotiable—it's a procedure. How much and how to refund is usually negotiable, and sometimes you can even negotiate directly with the victims. The goal is one thing: close the case and unfreeze the card. Don't try to resist. Resisting will only drag things out.
Third hurdle: Whether you'll have a criminal record and whether your other cards are safe. As long as you cooperate, submit complete materials, and can prove you didn't knowingly participate in fraud, you generally won't have a criminal record, and other bank cards under your name won't be affected. But distinguish between two concepts:
Primary involved card: Most serious, may be subject to system-wide risk controls, multiple cards under your name affected.
Secondary involved card: Usually only this one card is handled, impact is relatively controllable.
One final truth: Playing U is essentially operating in a gray area, absolutely not like regular consumption.
Never touch money with unclear sources or from unknown backgrounds. Don't sacrifice your account, credit score, or even your entire future for small profits. That's the real loss.
