An exchange accidentally gave away 2000 Bitcoins to its users.

It happened at Bithumb, a major exchange in South Korea. An employee was supposed to distribute prizes of 2000 won ($1.50) among several users. But when he went to make the transfer, he got confused and sent Bitcoin instead of won (the local currency).
Hundreds of people received 2000 Bitcoins in their accounts. Some $130 millions each.
People did the logical thing: sell everything before they realized. Such a sudden surge in sales caused Bitcoin's price on Bithumb to plummet by 10% compared to the price on other exchanges.
