$ALEO Aleo Credit Total Supply Cap

With the approval of ARC-0047, the Aleo network has now set a hard cap on the total supply of Aleo Credit. 5,000,000,000 ALEO. The cap will be enforced by stopping block rewards and proof rewards at a predetermined block height (based on the theoretical maximum issuance). Please note that the emission rate of these rewards is not being modified. Instead, two reward streams will terminate at a scheduled block height in the distant future. Based on the current average block rate, we expect this to occur by the end of Q4 2049.
