US 1-Year Inflation Outlook Falls to Over 1-Year Low

The year-ahead inflation expectations in the United States, as compiled by the survey of the University of Michigan, eased for a sixth straight month to an over one-year low of 3.5% in February 2026, compared to January’s 4%, preliminary estimates showed. In the meantime, the five-year inflation outlook increased for the second month to 3.4% from 3.3% in January.
